The Hass avocado can be distinguished by its bumpy and dark green skin, which is over-purplish-black when the fruit is ripe.

The Hass avocado fruit traces its roots to an avocado tree that Rudolph Hass planted in Southern California in the 1920s. He had planted the tree as an avocado seed and propagated it to maturity. Our hass avocados are from our well-fertilized orchards and grower partnerships in Kenya . Grown naturally in these orchards our avoacados thrive in the open sun and rain water for quality flowering and growth, hence their premium quality. Fuerte is the second most popular avocado variety globally, just after Hass. The Fuerte avocado variety has smooth skin with a green colour, and it does not have thick skin as it is easily peeled; thus, it has a pale green colour.
This type is prized for its unique sweet taste resembling hazelnuts, but with a subtle lemon hint, it is suitable for gourmet food.
